IPMA Research Conference in South Africa: Project Management in Emerging Economies
This year´s research conference will be the third IPMA Research Conference after Berlin/Germany and Tianjin/China. It will take place on the 25th and 26th of November 2015 at SPIER Estate, Stellenbosch, South Africa in cooperation with University of Johannesburg, University of Pretoria and University of Stellenbosch Business School. This year’s theme “Project Management in Emerging Economies – Practice meets Research” addresses the increasing demand of management approaches for projects, programs and portfolios in emerging economies. What is the situation regarding project management in such economies? Which management approaches are needed and how are they provided by the profession? What are insights from research in this regard? How can these economies learn from each other and from already mature economies? Which exchange platforms are available and how could they made available for economies without access? Find more information regarding the program in the invitation.
A maximum of interaction and exchange between international experts, researchers, scholars and practitioners is encouraged during the two days. The intensive dialogue between theory and practice is a distinctive feature, which can neither be found at scientific nor professional conferences. Practitioners are encouraged to share experiences and requirements to researchers, who will share their knowledge of theoretical foundations. Researchers can identify needs and requirements of practitioners, deduce new research initiatives from these insights and network with international colleagues. Practitioners and PM experts can gain up-to-date insights in project-related research, adopting it to their projects and get connected to an international research audience. IPMA acts as an incubator for moving the profession and society forward. Sign-up and join in. The participation is free of charge, highly valuable for your personal development and South Africa will certainly give you an unforgettable experience. Learn more about South Africa:
