Benefit from GAPPS!

The GAPPS (Global Alliance for Project Performance Standards) is a unique alliance of government, industry and professional associations, national qualification bodies and training/academic institutions that have been working together since 2003 to help practitioners and organizations make sense of the many standards and certifications available globally to guide the management of projects. Our primary aim is to facilitate mutual recognition and transferability of project management standards and qualifications by providing the global project management community with a reliable source of comparative information.

The GAPPS is driven by informed and experienced volunteers. Everything we produce is made available, free of charge, for download from our website http://globalpmstandards.org/.

Membership of the GAPPS is open to any organization that wants to contribute to and benefit from enhanced understanding of resources available for the development and assessment of competence in all aspects of the management and leadership of projects. Member organizations can guide the work of the GAPPS and have early access to works in progress. Their representatives can develop their networks, skills and understanding by working with leading international practitioners and academics.

We regularly organise forums. Our next GAPPS Thought Leadership forum f.e. will take place in Lille (France) from June 4th until 6th, 2016. Participants will receive updates on the latest developments in project based standards and can join one or more of the following work streams:

  • Mapping – Focus on the new P2M standard
  • Project Sponsor – How to get project sponsors aware what they are responsible for?
  • Project Controls – Focus on roles and associated competencies
  • Project Manager – What’s new in global project manager standards? What’s missing?
  • GAPPS Strategy – Influence the future direction of the GAPPS

I invite all PM professionals: Take the chance and learn more about standards and practice, learn about standards development and mapping processes, share your knowledge and experience, get advance access to GAPPS tools, develop your local and international networks. Work alongside leading practitioners and researchers. Contribute to your profession. Join us!

The GAPPS Thought Leadership forum in Lille is hosted by SKEMA Business School.
