IPMA Forms Strategic Alliance with Swiss School of Business and Management Geneva (SSBM)

IPMA is proud to announce the signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Swiss School of Business and Management (SSBM), based in Geneva, Switzerland. This agreement marks a significant step forward in strengthening the global project management education ecosystem.

The MoU outlines a framework for collaboration in training, teaching, certification, and the development of joint programmes in project management. The partnership will focus particularly on supporting students across the SSBM Geneva international network—spanning Switzerland, France, Vietnam, Myanmar, India, Cameroon, and Croatia—as well as online learners worldwide.

Through this collaboration, IPMA will support SSBM Geneva in enhancing its project management offerings, including the potential development of Master’s, MBA, Mini MBA, and DBA programmes in line with the IPMA Individual Competence Baseline (ICB4.0). The two institutions will also cooperate on developing simulation-based trainings and enabling IPMA student certifications across SSBM Geneva campuses and partner locations globally.

As part of the agreement, SSBM Geneva is invited to participate in IPMA’s Special Interest Groups (SIGs), and promote the broader IPMA Ecosystem among its academic and professional communities. The collaboration also foresees SSBM Geneva joining the IPMA REG system, which oversees registered training and education providers, further aligning SSBM Geneva’s academic programmes with international quality standards.

This alliance is a reflection of IPMA’s long-term strategy to form impactful global partnerships that elevate the project management profession and empower future generations of professionals worldwide.
