The restart of IPMA ASIANET network in Seville
On September 23rd, 2023, representatives from the IPMA Member Associations in China, India, Japan, Malaysia, and Nepal gathered in Sevilla for a face-to-face meeting. The primary agenda of this meeting was to deliberate on the future of IPMA ASIANET network.
This gathering was initiated by Prof. Dr. Ding Ronggui, IPMA Vice President for Research, and Amin Saidoun, IPMA Executive Director, with the aim of catalyzing activities within the Asian region. Progress in this regard had been somewhat sluggish. The meeting also featured Jose E. Reyes Gonzalez from Panama, IPMA Vice President for Marketing & Awards, who shared his experience and good practices from the IPMA LATNET network. The discussions revolved around strategies to foster and enhance cooperative relationships within the ASIANET framework in the forthcoming years.
As a result of these productive deliberations, a commitment was made to convene the next ASIANET meeting in Hanoi, Vietnam, in parallel to ProMAC – the 15th International Conference on Project Management, that will be hosted on Nov. 29-Dec. 2nd, 2023 by the IPMA Member Association in Japan – Society of Project Management Japan.

The next ASIANET meeting will be hosted in Kathmandu, Nepal, in March 2024, by the IPMA’s Project Management Association in Nepal.
These future meetings hold the promise of further propelling the objectives and cooperation within IPMA ASIANET.
