Global Young Crew Workshop 2020 Online – another great edition!
This year from September 19-21, our annual Global Young Crew Workshop took an online format.
More than 100 people from almost 30 countries joined us for the weekend of online project management.
On Saturday morning (September 19) annual meeting of YC representatives – YC Assembly – took place. A great opportunity to discuss global challenges and meet new local YC faces, YC Assembly was a dynamic start of the weekend full of YC activities.
Later during the day, we had an official opening of GYCW. Virtually learning more about our ‘host’ city St Petersburg through interesting quiz and video was an amazing experience.
Our last activity of the day was a YC Stars awards gala dinner. A new project by YC, YC Stars honours the most active and best YC members around the world.
On September 20 (Sunday), we started early with keynotes session ranging from VR/AR (by Sergey Lukashkin), Art&Science (Olga Remneva), Cryptocurrencies (Sergey Ivleev), Ways to fail as a PM in data science project (by Artem Nikolaev) and Cultural Issues in digital projects (by Eva Gaborikova).
In parallel, interactive workshops took place as well – we learned more about Professional Negotiation Techniques with Peter Morgan, David Corcoran and his workshop Creating your authentic self – using your voice and body to full effect online were next on the agenda and Dr Phillip Sanger taught us more about Blended Project Management.
The last day was a great opportunity for an Online PM Simulation Game. And in the evening (or for some of our participants in the morning or afternoon) we gathered to find out about the winners of Young Project Manager of the Year 2020.
Another great edition of Global Young Crew Workshop came to the end!
We hope to see each other in St Petersburg in September 2021 for our next Global Young Crew Workshop!
