Call for IPMA Research Group Members (2024-2026)

IPMA Research is a crucial part of the IPMA ecosystem. It serves as an incubator platform for project management professionals by providing researchers and practitioners with new insights, theories, techniques, and tools that help improve their work. IPMA Research also serves as a scientific foundation and think tank for decision-making concerning the development, promotion, implementation, and launch of IPMA’s products and services, as well as those of its Member Associations (MAs) and Global Partners. To ensure the continued growth of IPMA, its MAs, its Global Partners, and the entire project management research and practice community, it is essential to establish a dynamic, innovative, and dedicated IPMA Research Group, including both researchers from practice and academia.

The responsibilities of a Member of the IPMA Research Group include:

• Collaborating in developing and editing IPMA publications, such as IPMA magazines, conference proceedings, training materials, Research Evaluation Baseline, and so on. 
• Evaluating applications and making recommendations for IPMA Research Awards.
• Conduct research, analyze data, and promote methods that aid decision-making for IPMA MAs, Global Partners, and PM professionals.
• Reviewing completed and early-stage research papers submitted for the IPMA Research Conference.

IPMA Research Group volunteer their services, with the personnel working in task force teams.

IPMA Research Group for 2024-2026 is currently inviting new members to join. If you are interested in becoming an IPMA Research Group member, please carefully review the following requirements and confirm your agreement:

• You should understand IPMA’s products, services, and operating systems well.
• You need to demonstrate an extensive experience in either project management research or practical project management.
• You should be able to devote up to 100 hours of volunteer time per year to work with the IPMA Research Group.
• You need to adhere the IPMA philosophy, Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, and the bylaws.

This opportunity is suitable for individuals passionate about project management research and development, seeking to contribute to the field while advancing their own skills and careers. Both researchers from practice and academia are encouraged to apply, regardless of the career stage. Those who hold IPMA-related certifications will be given preference.
