Welcome to the IPMA Eventus platform operated by the International Project Management Association (IPMA),(“we”, “us”, or “our”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our platform for the events.

When you register for the event, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, surname, and email, as well as the country of residency, a phone number, and the organization from which you are coming.

You may add a short bio.

We use your information to:

• Provide you with the event ticket information,
• Improve and personalize your event experience,
• Create your IPMA Events App account, and ensure app security and prevent unauthorized access,
• Communicate updates and relevant information about the conference,
• Respond to your questions and provide support.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your information. We may share it with:

• Local conference Organizers: To manage the event effectively.
• IPMA parties: IPMA Events App to ensure your attendance at the event and my.ipma in order to issue you a participation or any other type of badge (proof of the participation at the event)
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to respond to legal requests.

Data Security

IPMA takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of your personal data and to protect it against loss, theft, or unauthorized use. Access to your personal data is restricted on a need-to-know basis and by access controls. Our information technology environment is appropriately protected and monitored, with regular updates, testing, and assessment to ensure ongoing security. The personal data controller is IPMA, which processes personal data in accordance with the GDPR and the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP). .

At the IPMA Events App and my.ipma you have the right to choose the amount of data publicly shown in your profile, including your email address. If you do not agree to share your email address, it will not be displayed publicly and will be stored in the internal database of IPMA users, visible only to IPMA. Personal data will not be sold to or shared with other third parties.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill our legal obligations.

Children’s Privacy

Our services are not intended for individuals under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If we learn we have, we will delete it.
